| What is so special about this game? | The players are tradesmen on the island Puerto Rico. Each turn, every player
can choose a role (colonist, architect, golddigger, ...) but not only the player who
chooses the role gets to perform the associated action, but in his turn also
all the other players are allowed to perform this action as well. However, as a
special bonus the player who has chosen the role gets some kind of special action. The players get points for the buildings (with special actions during the game) they build + the goods they sell for victory points. The fact that every role can be used by every player makes the game fun to play. There isn't much downtime as you have to be alert all the time. It's a bit hard the first time you play the game but if you love a game with strategy, you certainly should try this game. |
